After breakfast at your accommodation, we start our Private nomadic tour at 08:30 from Marrakech to Ouarzazate via the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n'Tichka pass. We’ll take time to stop and enjoy the impressive landscapes and Berber hamlets along the way, with a break for coffee or mint tea.
Our Morocco nomad journey includes a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, named in 1987. This iconic Berber Kasbah has served as a key destination for international filmmakers, featuring in over 20 films. Historically, it was one of the most important fortress strongholds on the old Salt Road, where caravans transported slaves, gold, ivory, salt, and silk from sub-Saharan countries to Marrakech and beyond.
We’ll pass through Ouarzazate, known for its stunning valley of roses, where locals craft various products from the Persian rose. From there, we continue our journey towards the Dades Valley and Gorges. Dinner and overnight stay will be in a traditional Kasbah, immersing you fully in the nomadic experience
After breakfast, we set off from our hotel in the Dades Valley, beginning our nomadic tour through Morocco. Driving along the road of 1000 Kasbahs, we pass through the colorful mud Berber villages that dot the Dades Valley, spending about 40 minutes traveling along the volcanic range of the Saghro Anti-Atlas Mountains. Our Morocco nomad journey brings us to Todra, with its beautiful palm grove and historic Jewish mud villages. A scenic, winding road takes us to the breathtaking Todgha Gorges, where we’ll walk along the gardens and explore canyons that reach up to 400 meters high.
Afterward, we’ll drive across the stone desert, passing through palm valleys on our way to the Erg Chebbi dunes in the Merzouga Sahara Desert. We’ll stop for a lunch break in a restaurant situated in the vast, empty expanse of the Sahara. From there, we’ll head to the highest dunes in Morocco, the Erg Chebbi dunes.
In the afternoon, enjoy tea before embarking on a camel ride into the desert, leading to a nomadic oasis camp nestled in the middle of the dunes. Witness the most beautiful sunset in the world from the top of a dune, surrounded by the tranquil emptiness of the desert. Spend the night in a luxury camp in the Merzouga Sahara Desert, either in traditional nomadic tents or outside under the shooting stars. The evening will be filled with drumming and traditional music played by the nomads, creating an unforgettable desert experience. Dinner and overnight in the Merzouga Sahara Desert luxury camp. This private tour ensures a personalized and immersive experience into the heart of Morocco's nomadic culture
This morning after breakfast, we have a final chance to climb the dunes before setting off on the next leg of our nomadic tour. A long but scenic journey takes us through the southern Anti-Atlas desert terrain, where we may encounter Morocco nomads and camel herders crossing the vast plains. Along the way, we’ll pass through thriving date palm communities that thrive in this remote and captivating landscape—an area often referred to as cobra land for its unique environment.
Our final destination is Ouarzazate, the largest center in the Moroccan Sahara and home to one of Hollywood’s most versatile film studios. After arriving, we’ll spend one night in a comfortable hotel. If time permits, we’ll take a private tour of Ouarzazate’s main attractions and bazaar, immersing ourselves in the rich culture of this fascinating city
After a lazy morning, we leave Ouarzazate and begin our journey over the breathtaking Tizi-n-Tichka pass in the High Atlas Mountains. This scenic drive along a challenging road takes us through the villages of Tadart and Ait Brka, both nestled in the heart of the High Atlas. As part of your private tour, you'll experience the stunning landscapes and traditional Berber life in these remote villages. We’ll arrive at your hotel in Marrakech around 5:00 pm, concluding your memorable nomadic tour through Morocco.
