Your Desert tour from Tangier starts at Tangier’s port where we will take the road towards Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains, Tour of Chefchaouen : (or Chaouen) in the Rif Mountains, founded by the Muslims and Jews who were pushed by Christians on 15th century. the town was not known until the 20th century and had remained relatively unchanged for 500 years.
It is said to give the best possible view of what an Andalusian town would look like in the time of the Moors. The city becomes a tourist destination, its narrow medina streets, white and blue colored houses and its beautiful situation in the middle of the mountains makes it unique, There are cafes around the main square and hotels.

Departing to Fes at 10:00 pm. We will drive throughout green-hills ,open vast lands and wheat fields. We stop for lunch near Ouazane and we continue to Volubilis. It is the best-preserved roman ruins in Morocco. Guided tour inside the roman site will takeyou back to the myths of Rome bythe stunning mosaic, streets, columns and baths.
Not far, there is an old village of Moulay Driss Zerhoune where the founder of the first Arab Islamic dynasty in Morocco is buried. If time permits a stop for mint tea in this town before we head to Fez.Hotel/ Riad.

After breakfast, you will have a guided visit at 10:00 Am in the medina of Fez. To begin with the southern tower and the fortress of 16th century face to face with northern one,a panoramic view over the medieval city. We will visit an enjoyable cooperative of pottery. It will enhance your knowledge about the making of Moroccan mosaic”zellij” and the blue pottery of Fez.
A true labyrinthine old city of 8th century. You will travel in time back to the medieval period of the city where people still work in small narrow streets, several tiny stalls of all kinds of traditional crafts, and donkeys loaded with supplies are going up and down in the streets of the medina. You will feel no sense of direction and time for a while.

Dinner Morning drive through the Middle Atlas mountains. It is home for Barbary apes called “the maggot” , native to the forest of cedar wood in the Middle Atlas. A break in Ifran town will be very appreciated.
It is a famous place for ski resorts in Morocco and it is established during the French protectorate. We are having lunch in Medilt known for its best productions of apples in Morocco. Stop for the photo in Zizvalley which is the beginning of palm groves and dates.
Erfoud is the capital of Fossils in Morocco so you will have this chance to visit one of the factories where they make beautiful articles out of marble.And right after that we visit the mausoleum of Mouay Ali Chref in Rissani the founder of the actual Alaouite dynasty of Morocco at 17th century.We drive to Erg Chebbi.

Exploration 4×4 & Camel Trek for sunset) Throughout the sand dunes we go for a drive on these fabulous landscapes on the edge of the Erg Chebbi, the largest sand dunes in Morocco. We will see plenty of nomadic black tents in the middle of nowhere.
We shall stop by a nomadic family to have tea and see what a nonadic life looks like. We go on our drive and let’s discover the nomadic life of Touareg people by visiting Alkhamliya, a village where nothing has been changed through centuries.
Either we lunch here in Alkhamliya village or we go back to our hotel and lunch there. After a nape we go on a camel ride to meet one of the most fascinating sight we will ever seen, the superb sunset in the middle of the high sand dunes of Merzouga. Tonight we stay in Berber tented desert camp and enjoy a wonderful stars view.

Early wake up for the sun rise and camel ride back to dunes line. Time for breakfast and shower after we Head to Tinjdad and we pull over to-see the old underground system of irrigation “khatarat” which is still used in the oasis of Jorf .
Lunch in Todra valley . It has beautiful kasbahs and mountains along 15 km of palm groves.
To Arrive the spectacular gorges of 300 m high and to enjoy a little walk near the river of Todra. Overnight in Kasbah hotel.

We will do some walking insidethe village and we continue along Ounila valley to reach Telouet Kasbah, a big fort of the Pacha who was the most powerful man of the south. Crossing the spectacular High Atlas Mountains Pass (Tizi-n-Tichka 2260 m ALT ) to arrive Marrakech.
